We have been fishing right along and most of my reports are on social media such as facebook or Instagram.  Inshore our fishing charters out of Oregon Inlet we have been seeing some good days of cobia fishing and some spanish mackerel.  If you would like to get out on one of our OBX fishing charters give me a call as we have room on our calendar for this summer.  Don't miss out on the action!

We had a group join us to go offshore charter fishing out Oregon Inlet.  Tuna fishing that day was slow and we didn't see much action so we worked around and found some King Mackerel to keep them busy.  If you want to join us on your own OBX fishing charter give us a call at Hitman Sportfishing!

I had a guest out this past summer who sent me a little video to check out.  Hope you all get to enjoy watching the clips of the tuna and mahi action we had out of Oregon Inlet on their fishing charter.  Send us a message if you would like to book a trip on the Hitman to go out to the Gulf Stream.

Great fishing the past week.

The past week has been super busy for us.  We were unable to get out early in the week due to weather but then after that we were catching fish!  The tuna fishing stayed steady for us and we had some really good groups of people come out and get on them!  As you can see in the picture we had some large yellowfin show up and some were up to 100 lbs with the smallest being 58 lbs. If you're looking to take a trip offshore charter fishing from Oregon Inlet for dolphin, tuna, wahoo, or whatever else,  give us a call and let us take you out for a memorable trip.  Hitman Sportfishing keeps you up to date with recent OBX fishing reports.   Keep up with us on Facebook and Instagram too.

More dolphin and tuna

The dolphin fishing was plenty good so we went back after them again.  It was steady fishing and once we had what everyone wanted we turned inside to try for some tuna.  It was a good day and everyone had a blast. If you're looking to take a trip offshore fishing from Oregon Inlet give us a call to take you out for a memorable trip.  Hitman Sportfishing keeps you up to date with recent OBX fishing reports.   Keep up with us on Facebook and Instagram too.

Great Dolphin Fishing

We started out dolphin fishing to start the day.  Everyone caught a few then they decided they wanted to wanted to try for some tuna.  We hooked plenty but the sharks only let us keep a few.  If you're looking to take a trip offshore fishing from Oregon Inlet give us a call to take you out for a memorable trip.  Hitman Sportfishing keeps you up to date with recent OBX fishing reports.   Keep up with us on Facebook and Instagram too.

Bottom fish back open!

Picture
May 1st is the opening of our tile fish and grouper along with many other bottom fish that are federally regulated.  These species are found in water 250 + feet deep 30 + miles offshore.   It is very exciting to drop a bait down and hook one of these monsters and fight it all the way to the surface.  Additionally the fish we catch are excellent table fare.    Come catch your fresh seafood dinner with us.

Oregon Inlet Offshore Report

Picture
Sunday April 22nd.  We left out Oregon Inlet and made our way out to the Gulf Stream.  The forecast was for 5-10 kts out the NE but as luck would have it, the wind ended up being 15 knots and was a little bumpier than we had expected.  Within the first 30 minutes we ran over a school of yellowfin tuna and ended up with 3 keepers.  We had a few other short bites and also caught and released a couple of small mako sharks.  As the day went on some folks on board were feeling a little sick so we decided to call it an early day.  Just before pulling in lines we ended up with a nice mahi.

Have you caught a Giant while Fishing on the Outer Banks?

Have you caught a GIANT?  With the closure of commercial fishing we are now offering charters to get out and catch your own bluefin tuna.  There are very few weather windows this time of year so make the call now to get in on the action before the fish migrate north for the year.

We're still taking reservations for the upcoming summer months so get on the calendar now.
